The Right Gear Driving School

What we offer is far more than just teaching a learner driver correct driving techniques. We want them to have a comprehensive understanding of the safest and most efficient way to drive a car. We want them to learn the correct way of negotiating road and traffic hazards and develop a greater awareness of potentially dangerous situations and how to avoid them. For example, the typical types of hazards are intersections, traffic lights, roundabouts, lane changing and over taking.

We teach drivers how to forward plan and how to assess each situation on approach and ensure they optimize their own safety and anticipate potential hazards and mistakes from other drivers. It’s about helping our drivers to develop a greater awareness of the constantly changing traffic conditions around them.

We treat every learner driver as an individual and adapt training techniques to suit their requirements. It is important for us that clients learning to drive have a positive experience as they develop the skills necessary to pass their Vehicle On Road Test (VORT).

Parents are invited to be actively involved in the learner drivers training. This helps ensure that correct driving techniques can be reinforced when the learner driver is under their supervision.

We always aim to be on time, if for some reason we are late, you will be notified in an appropriate fashoin.

We aim to work around you and your needs especially with pick up and drop offs. We have a lot of teenagers start there lesson from school and finish at home & vise versa depending on the time of the lesson.

Chris was an amazing driving instructor who was always extremely understanding and patient with me when driving. He made me feel extremely comfortable behind the wheel and helped me to pass my VORT first try!!

Chris was such a kind and patient instructor! I really appreciated his amazing humour and how he made me feel relaxed and comfortable behind the wheel. I had not been driving long when I started with Chris, but he was always supportive, he put me at ease and didn't get grumpy no matter how many times I made the same mistake. I am so lucky that I came across Chris, after having various driving instructors that didn’t work out, I was so nervous to get back into driving. Chris was the absolute best instructor and made me feel so comfortable and safe behind the wheel. Chris was so professional but always managed to make the lessons so enjoyable, and make me laugh! He pushed me to believe and trust in myself and my driving, he built up my confidence so quickly, and was so accommodating to my needs while learning. With his amazing help I was able to get my license so quickly and am confidently and safely driving! I cannot recommend Chris enough - I wish I found him sooner! Thank you a million Chris!
